Staying in a proper home was great as it gave me the option of cooking and eating at home nice when you've been travelling for a while and I felt very relaxed and comfortable the whole time I was there. Our room was large and spacious with a king-size bed which was lovely. We did not get to meet Munmun as she was out of town but she responded to inquiries immediately and was very helpful. She coordinated a cab driver to pick us up from the airport to her home which was much appreciated so there was no confusion as to where her home was located.
We walked to the Kotwali market almost every day and her home is a quick drive to the Illiterati Cafe - a must visit and an excellent recommendation from Munmun. Munmun has genuinely opened her wonderful, large home for guests and you will find a warm, well-decorated, comfortable, clean place with an artistic touch. Munmun has a beautiful and comfortable space! I felt right at home. The location is amazing because it is far from the buzz of Mcleodganj but still close enough so the sightseeing locations are easily accessible. The hosts are very warm. The only one issue I would say is the wifi would be off at night, not sure if it was network issue, or a home rule. But apart from that we enjoyed the stay there! We loved staying here. They are a very warm family and we are glad to have met and made friends. The place is very nice and cozy. The owner is really helpful and understanding. I would really recommend this if you are looking for a place near by. Hospitality was very good. Best location for Dharamshala as it is near cricket stadium. Can't get better than this in dharamshala. It's like home away home. The place is in lower Dharamshala area and sits atop a gorgeous valley. You can even see the Cricket Stadium from here!
The hosts Mr and Mrs Dharamraj are very kind and hospitable people. They are caring and make sure you are well provided for. The house in itself is a spacious 3BHK, with all the amenities including microwave, fridge, and an induction stove. The bathrooms were clean and neat, as were the linen in our bedrooms. The host was also gracious enough to introduce to us a local cab owner who gave us reasonable prices as compared to others and gave us accurate information about spots to see.
We have had no complaints with our stay, and look forward to visiting this place again in the future. To anyone else considering to book this house, go ahead without any second thoughts! This is an amazing place. The view of snow-capped Dhauladhar mountains is spectacular. We spotted more that 30 different species of birds on the site, which makes it special for bird lovers. Two bed rooms, a living room and a functional kitchen allows for a long term stay.

They close the Bonfire activity in the march but on asking Adarsh did the arrangements for bonfire. It was a good stay and we enjoyed a lot with our family. Trust me, this will be the wonderful stay. The farmhouse is far away from hustle of the main Dharamsala location, peaceful and quiet. It is ideal for a family visit. The home cooked organic grown food was great. Well, where should i start. If i elaborate on stuffs i might end up filling AirBnB space. Awesome, amazing, exceptional, whatever else that describes wonderful in dictionary. Every minute detail was taken well care off.

Raju the guy who was helping Sunil Ji take care of us and make us feel at home was amazing, never complaining even though i kept calling him for little things at odd times. Ranjana served us this amazing coffee made by Sunil sir. In all everything we get to eat is grown there and cooked there by Sunil ji himself. You get your space and then you get an awesome experience of interaction with this awesome individual Mr. Thank you for hosting us in the way you did. I will be back soon for sure and then is when i will write rest of my review.
All in all it felt like HOME. Staying at Sunil uncle's place will be one the most memorable experiences of my life. I have been to many places in the past but my stay has never been so peaceful and satisfying. Uncle is available all the time and always concerned about their guests be it morning or night. The breakfast was really good and honestly i did not expect it but very good.
I had dinner too and it was amazing also because everthing is freshly prepared with raw materials from uncles own garden. Oh and i loved the strawberry tea i had with uncle on a morning! The room was clean and everything was available. Couldnt have asked for more. All in all a super good stay with a great person!!
I strongly recommend Sunil uncle's place: I am sure il come back soon. Had a very pleasant time with Mr Sunil as a wonderful host. A real retreat for nature lovers. If you are person who loves authentic nature then this is an ideal place. Dont look for lavish amenities, you have a lot other things to enjoy there. Very close to other tourist attractions in the area as well. Mr Sunil and his wife are excellent hosts. The cottages are very nicely done and the whole area is very serene - perfect for a quiet holiday.
I would highly recommend them. Sunil Uncle has a big farm house cum residence property with 5 newly built cottages for the guests. I happen to stay in one of these cottages. It was a fairly well equipped cottage with amenities as advertised. The bathroom was quite clean and had very good quality fittings. The toilet with imported bidet stood apart. The mattress on the double bed were a bit hard to sleep on for me.
Also the place had bugs in the night and the protective net on the window was not very effective. The best part of the stay was Sunil uncle's cooking.
He is a great cook and really enjoys to host his guests. Each of the meals were delicious and unique. Toasts with maple syrup in breakfast and butter chicken for dinner were quite yummy. After an adventurous week long trip to the beautiful Barot Valley my wife and I wanted a relaxed and lazy stay in Palampur before driving back to Delhi.
After a long search we finally pin pointed this place, having not stayed in cottages before this was a first experience but i was more than satisfied with what we got. The cottages are loaded with all basic amenities along with a tea and coffee maker, the washrooms are neat and tidy with running hot water.
But the thing that makes it complete is the orchard, Sunil uncle has done a fantastic job by planting Malta Blood Orangessweet lime, lemons, turmeric, roses, apples.

The staff at the villa are polite, accommodating and very helpful. I would fully recommend this to any looking for a peaceful and relaxing trip to Dharshala. We were excited that we will be staying in a royal villa. But the place does not give a feel of royalty. Villa itself is in a state of poor maintenance. There are no amenities, not even WiFi. It was disgusting to find that one could not even ask for any food items.
You have to eat whatever they gave you in the name of food. Clouds Ends Villa is an amazing place, located in an amazing location. Very Private and Spacious. Rooms were s clean, stylish, roomy. Staff was very friendly. We had an amazing time. Forktail Villa is a good property that has been beautifully furnished.
The locals, house help and hosts were warm and helpful. Shops for essentials are close by, however its bit of a climb to get to the main road on foot. Small cars can come right up to the door step. Due to uncontrolled construction in the area, the villa is now completely boxed in from all sides. Also the week we were there it was pretty warm in Dharamshala.
I think it would be good to avoid peak summer weeks to visit. The stay at Sunidhi's place was amazing. The house is even better than on the pictures and Sunidhi was helping us every day with some useful tips and help when we needed to.

The location of the property is pretty good with shops, restaurants and tourists spots nearby. It can easily accomodate a group of people. Overall, very satisfied and highly recommended. The materials used for building this property were well thought through. Lots of natural lighting and pleasure to experience a house made from locally available material.

There is no view to mountains, the rooms are in the ground floor. Beautiful little garden well maintained. Buses running everywhere from main road 1 min walk house is located in Lower Dharmshala in Jhikli Barol.
I took bus to Kangra from there, and on the way back it took a parallel road so I ended up too far ahead, local buses just 3 rupees. Got me by surprised, and having travelled there by car, I did not know what to think.

Cdr Sandeep's house is nestled in a small village Khanyara a little away from Dharamshala but at a higher altitude. It gives a great view of the surrounding hills and the Dharamshala city.

It was a beautiful location and the house has all the amenities one requires. Joginder and his wife Nirmala are very simple village people who are always ready to help. They cooked some really nice home made food including some local dishes which were really great.
Sundeep sent a detailed information explaining the route to the house, required contact details and tips on visiting the local attractions. He even made a call during our stay to check how the trip was going and gave us right advice given we had a short trip. It was a pleasure staying at Sundeep's place and will surely visit in future when I am in Dharamshala.

Cottage is very far from Mcleodganj and if you happen to visit it during rush periods like June, you will be stuck in traffic for whole day.
We were stuck in jam for 6 hours and had to walk for 5km to reach Mcleodganj. Sandeep, the owner, personally came to welcome us and went out of his way to help us and to ensure we get the most out of our visit to the area. The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped for a comfortable stay in the countryside.
The caretakers, Joginder and Nirmala, is a lovely couple who could not do enough for us. We had a great stay and highly recommend this place.
